A journey through nature and history: exploring the flora and fauna of ancient Pompeii
This activity combines a tour of the archaeological sites with thematic explorations, with participants immersed in the lush natural environment that once surrounded Pompeii during Roman times.
Parks, gardens, green spaces, frescoes, mosaics and casts provide vivid and detailed representations of the natural world, allowing participants to discover and appreciate the botanical and zoological aspects of ancient life.
Along the way, each participant will create their own travel journal, drawing and recording the plant and animal species encountered on their journey – just like travellers on a modern Grand Tour.
